Journey to the Cure held its 2nd Annual Infinity Joy Basket Fundraiser on April 29, 2006 at 115 Bourbon Street in Merrionette Park, Illinois. Deb and Lori, JttC's Joy Basket Ambassadors worked hard to put together a great night of fun, friendship and music. The band, Infinity, worked with our Ambassadors to raise a whopping $2500.
Infinity donated an autographed drumhead and drumstick, an Infinity hockey jersey, T-shirts and many other items. Journey donated an autographed drumhead, autographed Generations CDs and lots of other items. A caricature artist donated a fantastic drawing of Infinity, which the band autographed. And the amazing Joe Meyer generously donated 2 memory guitars (one Journey Generations themed and one Infinity themed) and an awesome giant Infinity mug!

Hundreds and hundreds of people gathered to hear Infinity play and stepped up to
the plate in grand fashion by purchasing over 2000 raffle tickets. The band threw
out pink beanie babies to the crowd throughout the night, challenging the audience
to beat last year's take.
Chris Eiser, whose wife Carol is a survivor, has just found out his sister is diagnosed with breast cancer. Chris came on stage to give an impassioned speech for all the men in the crowd to "get empowered and get involved". There weren't many dry eyes in the crowd when he finished and by the end of his speech all the men in the crowd were whipping their pink and blue breast cancer beads over their heads in a united vow of solidarity and support.
JTTC thanks Infinity, 115 Bourbon Street, "Papa" Joe Meyer, Deb, Lori, Journey and everyone in attendance for their unwielding support.
Thanks to Lori Rogers, Deb Parquette for their yoeman's efforts on behalf of breast cancer patients across the nation. Their professionalism and integrity to JTTC and our Joy Basket Program is second to none!
