2008 Pitman Scholarship Recipient
September 2008
John Farrer, a student at Purdue University was recently awarded
the 2008 Pitman Scholarship. His mother Terry is currently in remission, and John heads back to campus September 25th.

Dear Ms Zumkeller & Pitman Scholarship Committee,
Thank you so much for this scholarship. It is an honor to receive this
award. It will go toward my tuition at Purdue this spring. Mom was
really pleased to learn I had received this award. She continues to take
Herceptin every three weeks. So far, she continues to be in remission.
She and dad are taking me to Purdue this Thursday. Classes start on
the 25th. I am getting anxious to start this new chapter in my life.
