Konocti Journey Pre-Show Party And Raffle

September 17th 2004, Journey fans met for a very special pre-show party and
fundraiser the night before Journey's concert in Kelseyville, California.
The location was the Sandia Casino
10 miles south of the Konocti Harbor Resort.
The tables were beautifully decorated and the room was very festive. An autographed guitar signed by Journey members highlighted the fundraiser table.
Journey fans came from as far away as the U.K. to attend. Many fans had not seen each other in a couple of years and hugs and photos started off the night.
After a delicious dinner, the representative from the Journey To The Cure foundation, Kari Ziblut, took the podium. Kari thanked all who participated in bringing this event together. She then made a heartfelt speech explaining the background and mission of Journey to the Cure. There were a few in the audience who were visibly touched as she talked about the many lives breast cancer affects and the need for early diagnosis to save lives.
The night ended with the fundraiser drawings. Tom’s young son, Alex, was
in charge of drawing the raffle tickets.
